Dr. Chu has performed both as a soloist and collaborative artist in Taiwan, Canada, and U.S.A. She has been guest artist in Ludington Music Festival in Michigan and University of Michigan, Flint. In 2007, she and Jeanne M. Hanley, M.M. formed Une Voix Piano Duo. They have been guest performers in St. Cecilia Music Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan and the Piano Teachers' Forum of Grand Rapids. She has also adjudicated for Michigan Music Teachers Association Student Achievement Testing. Dr. Chu is an active member of the Music Teachers' National Association.
Dr. Chu earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Fu-Jen Catholic University in Taiwan. In 2002, she finished her Master of Music in Piano Performance and Music Education from Central Michigan University. While at CMU, she studied piano with Dr. Alexandra Mascolo-David, piano pedagogy with Dr. Adrienne Wiley, and harpsichord with Dr. Steven Egler. She received the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from Michigan State University in 2006. Her principal teachers were Mr. Ralph Votapek and Mr. Panayis Lyras. Currently a freelance pianist, she resides in Saginaw, Michigan with her husband and two young daughters.
